Pam was born and lived in Independence, KS until attending Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. Following graduation from KSU Pam and her husband Ron moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and then to Springdale, Arkansas where they have lived 8 years. During her childhood Pam was greatly influenced by her Father who loved to sketch and do calligraphy. This was an activity they enjoyed doing together. Pam took advantage of every art class available in high school and at the local community college, loving every minute of it. At KSU Pam got away from art. A friend encouraged her to join an oils class and she has been involved in art of some sort on a regular basis every since. After moving to Tulsa, Pam joined a Tole painting group where she painted elaborate projects in acrylics. Shortly after moving to NWA, Pam continued painting on her own and learned the art of beading from a new friend, Judith Tavano. Later, Vicki Ross invited Pam to come to a water color class taught by Susan Edgmon. "I did one project and was hooked," said Pam. During these sessions, Pam was introduced to pastels and did a series of pen and ink drawings. She continues with the various art medium on her own to this day. The "real job" she has now limits the time she can devote to her art. Most of her creative time now is spent on beading projects. Pam said, "The great thing about art is that it provides an opportunity for creativity, is relaxing, and much cheaper than therapy! AND, you have something to show for it at the end."
