Jewelry comes from the Latin “jocale” meaning plaything and is one of the oldest
forms of body adornment. Mary believes jewelry should be fun, and give the
owner pleasure when worn. A focus on Art Jewelry, where design and creativity
are the principals, helpsfulfill this belief.

Each piece Mary creates in the essence of handcrafting for personal adornment.
Unlike using castings and moldings, which results in identical products of
manufactured jewelry, every piece is an original. The organic designs she creates
are influences of nature and on the flip side geometry also plays a key role in her
designs. Mary creates each piece using high quality sterling silver and fine silver
to insure the owner a lasting piece. It also guarantees the quality of the materials
by eliminating fillers and plate.

Mary began creating jewelry with the prompting of her husband, Jack, and his gift
of a kit for silversmiths. While Mary has been creative her whole life, this was a
new venture and the learning curve was steep. Through trial and error, Mary came
up with some designs that she was proud to wear, and soon friends were
requesting pieces. After a year of experimenting on herself and friends, she took a
gamble and signed up for a craft show.

She has been running her business ever since.
