Liz Teed is a native of Wichita, Ks who now enjoys living in NWA. In high school, her activities included art editing and working on play props and floats for parades. Continuing involving included art classes at Crowder Community College in Neosho, Mo. As interest in art grew, and she received diplomas in Interior Decorating through LaSalle University, and also Floral Arranging. A course of study in portraiture by Richard Hackett prompted the beginning of her own studio. This precipitated more then 100 portrait commissions. As a 1994 honor graduate of JBU, she received a bachelor’s degree in art/design. Since college she has taught art classes for several years, directed plays and painted stage backgrounds.
