In some ways it's hard to describe something that just feels like second nature. Everyday I look at the world with wonder. I see beauty - the softly lit edges of a bird's feathers in evening sunlight, the delicate first frost outlining each autumn leaf. I see vast landscapes - mountains so magnificent it's hard to catch your breath as you look out over them, the ocean and sky in the early morning light that blends them into one. I see human emotion - the "I want to breathe you in," kiss of a bride and groom, love in the eyes of a parent for their child, even the "Harley" rider proudly flying the American flag. I want my photography to capture that second in time and save it. Then the real reward is sharing it. There is something rejuvenating about the sweet warm scent of the woods after a spring rain, mountains covered in color from summer wildflowers, blustery autumn winds whirling red and orange leaves, and my favorite, the awesome beauty of the snow covered forest with the stillness it brings. So, maybe it is simple after all - do what you love and share it with others! Simple Spiritual Sensuous I hope you can "feel" what I see. |
