I was born in Charlotte, NC and I grew up in California. During my school years I was always interested in drawing. My father is an artist and that is probably where I get my talent from. I was fortunate after High School to attend a summer session at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco. I moved to Sacramento in the mid 70’s where I met and married my wife Alice. In the spring of 1991 we moved back to her home state of Arkansas. That summer I started working at ARVEST Bank. I did some art off and on during my working years. I’ve taken classes in painting, photography and graphics art at NWACC and really enjoyed them. After 15 years with the bank I decided to take an early retirement because of health concerns. Now I have the time to spend painting and taking photographs of nature. I really enjoy the challenge of botanical painting in watercolor. Watching things grow, striving to capture that perfect photograph or learning new forms of art is what keeps me excited about life. E-mail: Web Site: |
