As a child, art was all about fun. As an adult, it is about a career as a teacher passing the fun onto a new generation of children. Studying art at a small girls school in Missouri I had unlimited opportunities and time to explore my art. After college, my time was devoted to teaching and family. While spending time with young students, I have recently begun to make time for my own art. I am lucky enough to live in a 104 year old home in Historic Downtown Rogers. My studio is on the top floor with larg windows opening to tree and street views. This small town, house and neighborhood area a constant source of inspiration. Life is fun, creating art is fun, and teaching art is fun. My colors are bright my paint is thick. The way I paint is not predictable. I am constantly trying new media and ideas. The average person admires original art, but rarely is able to take it home. I am that average person. If one of my paintings makes you smile, I want you to take it home and hang it on your wall. I also have paintings at arkansasarts.com and artamiss.org search J Ironside E-mail: janandrandyironside@hotmail.com Web Site: |
