I moved to NWA in 2003 - one of my better decisions in life! I chose to live her and have fallen for the beauty and friendly people. Photography is my addiction, and I see in black and white or vivid color. I'm the one slamming on their brakes, veering off the road, grabbing my tripod. Mounting my camera, and snapping away in that never-ending search for "the photo" Photography has definitely enhanced my life. I look - REALLY look now. I never knew there were so many nuances in a wrinkled face, or such a short window of perfect light to work with at dawn or dusk. I didn't realize how I had been wearing blinders all these years. Now I enjoy life more, simply because I am embracing it with my eyes wide open. This love affair with light is most of all a lot of fun and the journey is rewarding and gratifying. Landscapes, portraits, and still life are all a challenge, but when you feel that certain excitement every single time your print is coming to life in a darkroom you know…. |
