I love painting. As a child I loved to make art, but I didn’t have much exposure to the fine arts. When I went to college it was like a dream come true. To explain to someone why I love it so is difficult to articulate into words. I had a professor who told me one time that artists were “merely magicians trying to create illusions.” Maybe this is what I am trying to do, but I want to enjoy the performance as long as I can. Never lacking in subject matter for inspiration or the challenge in starting a new painting, I always look forward to the creation process with anticipation and excitement. This very process of making art involves my hear and soul, it drives me to work hard and reminds me that I am only human; and it gives me much pleasure and joy knowing that I too was created by the Master and Lord of All.
