Barbara Stanton studied drawing and painting at the Kansas City Art Institute and then focused on various workshops for portrait, watercolor and design. She worked as an illustrator for the Command and General Staff College at the Army Field Printing Plant, Ft. Leavenworth, KS and also taught oil painting classes for Special Services. Her most recent experience has been with plein-air artist Mark Brown, Painting on Location, in Oahu, HI and a workshop with california plein-air colorist Camill Przewodek in Petaluma, CA. Inspiration comes from visiting museums to see paintings by the America Impressionists. |
