Tim Jones

I consider myself to be a contemporary painter in the very old tradition of realism. I'm fascinated by ordinary things... every object has it's own story. I am deeply interested in form and the depiction of form, and the play of light and shadow, what's called chiaroscuro. I strive for sensitivity and depth in my realism, and a kind of intimacy that comes from focused observation.
