Cheryl Harris
Cheryl's art reflects her passion for things with a history. She always notices the lichen on old rocks, the rust dripping down a metal sign, and the crusty paint on the side of a building. She is drawn to the texture in aged and weathered objects and incorporates those textures into her artwork. Those textures and colors become the basis for her paintings, and she hopes they will remind you of a special place or a happy thought from your own experiences.
Currently, Cheryl's favorite process is using a lot of modeling paste mixed with acrylic paint. She layers the thickened paint onto the canvas to give her paintings the texture she loves.
