Myron Williams -Mission Furniture and Accessories

Myron began serious woodworking in the early 1970's as a cabinet maker. His business began with the purchase of a home that needed new kitchen cabinets.  As word spread, it wasn’t long before he began building cabinetry for other clients. Indian Creek Wood Products was established in January 1978.

Later, cabinetry became less of a challenge and his interest turned to custom furniture and pastel painting.  In earlier years of the furniture business, he would build any style or size of furniture and out of whatever wood the customer desired. Before long that became impractical and he realized that he needed to specialize in both the style of furniture and the types of wood offered to customers.

Around 1995, he became very interested in the revival of Mission furniture which was taking place. He took several trips to learn more about the style and origins of this uniquely American furniture and décor.  He liked everything he saw and especially the rich history behind the Arts and Crafts furniture of people like Gustav Stickley.   Myron became a collector and has been building only Mission furniture and accessories ever since.

The Mission style furniture has been combined with his interest in pastel painting.  All of his pastel paintings are originals and are hand framed with the same quarter sawn oak used in the furniture.  Each painting is an art expression to compliment the Mission décor in any home.
